LUNA PARK VENUES WINS 'BEST ACHIEVEMENT IN VENUE MANAGEMENT' AT THE AUSTRALIAN EVENT AWARDS
Luna Park Venues has won the Best Achievement in Venue Management award at the coveted Australian Event Awards held in Sydney on Tuesday.
Luna Park Venues took out the top award over three other finalists, recognising the team’s dedication and forward thinking approach to venue management.
Luna Park Venues offers 13 different settings and spaces for functions and conventions, ranging in size from 30 to 10,000 and has hosted a raft of Sydney's leading business lunch events and stellar award and functions evenings, including the annual Australia Day Lunch, Big Sports Lunch and Lansdowne Lunch.
James Granter, General Manager (Sales) of Luna Park Venues, was thrilled to accept the award on behalf of the Venues team.
“This award is a well-deserved accolade to Luna Park Venues. It reflects the exceptional quality and strength of our staff, customer service and our business practices,” Mr Granter said.
The awards were judged by an independent panel of judges who represented all areas of the industry, with criteria based on the ability of the venue to enhance the overall event experience through superior management.
The win also comes after Luna Park Venues was named the Best Function Caterers at the Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence on the 21st September, recognising the talents of its superior functions and catering team.
Luna Park Sydney’s Ferris Wheel Dining Experience is also in the running for the Best New Product at the 2015 Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia (EEAA) Awards for Excellence, with the overall winner announced on 2 December.

Luna Park Venues has been named the Best Function/Convention Centre Caterer (Sydney Metropolitan) at the prestigious Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence held in Sydney.
Luna Park Sydney, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, outperformed eight other finalists to take out the top honour recognising the talents of its functions and catering team.
The dedicated and skilled team, comprising of catering, events and food and beverage staff, work cohesively to ensure that hosting an event at Luna Park Sydney is an enjoyable and stress free experience. Internationally trained Executive Chef, Mark Taylor, and his first class culinary team are renowned for preparing exceptional dishes created using high quality, local produce.
The judging criteria encompassed many facets of the catering experience, including food and staff service, the function area setup and food presentation.
